This is NOT Montepulciano grapes... it's Sangiovese grapes, and from Tuscany... the very south of Tuscany that is... it has an earthy, ripe, oaky sour cherry-driven body that pairs perfectly with roasted red pepper pasta sauce, marinara sauce, and garlic white pasta sauce. This is an absolutely old world but still approachable wine.
